Brickies Sand
White and yellow brickies sand for bricklaying mortar and bedding, sold loose by the tonne, in bulk bags from a quarter tonne, or in 10kg bags.
White or yellow — the choice is colour
Brickies sand is a fine sand used to make bricklaying mortar and to bed bricks and blocks. We stock two colours: white brickies sand, which gives a lighter mortar, and yellow brickies sand, the more common choice when mortar colour is not being matched to a wall.
Both are washed sands sold by weight, not by the bag. A cubic metre of sand is roughly 1.5 tonnes, but that moves with moisture and how the sand settles, so we confirm the tonnage from your measurements rather than applying a fixed ratio.
If you would rather not mix on site, we also list Boral Brickies Mortar in 20kg bags, a pre-blended mortar, alongside GP cement for site mixing.

Buying brickies sand at the yard
Brickies sand is collected from 94 Glossop St, North St Marys NSW 2760, Monday to Friday 6:30am–4:30pm and Saturday 7am–12:30pm. We are closed Sundays. Call ahead so the quantity you want is confirmed before you drive out.
On colour: sand is a natural product and varies slightly between deliveries, so if the mortar has to match an existing wall, check the current stock rather than ordering from a previous load.
